Ilustration To Books Daimon (Covenant #0.5)

"Love in my world usually ended up with someone hearing 'I smite thee!' as she was cursed to be some lame flower for the rest of her life."

For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals—pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards… and that she'll never be prepared for that duty.

According to her mother, that’s a good thing.

But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return—the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death… because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill.

The daimons have found her.

Write-Up Based On Books Daimon (Covenant #0.5)
I probably should have read this novella before starting the series because I'm already three and half books into it so I felt a bit detached to what happened here since it was in the past. However, I liked seeing her in the human world and see what happened exactly. I feel like I'm even more attached to her character than before. However, I didn't have the same emotional reactions that I had when I read Elixir. Overall, nice addition to the series but I feel like I wouldn't have missed a lot if

Not bad. Good enough that I am willing to try book 1. Not my preferred genre so I don't know how far I will get. I am not a super fan of the heroine but willing to give her more time to mature.

So I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep, so I decided to give this another shot.Glad I did. It's a bit reminiscent of the Vampire Academy series mythology-wise, except instead of Vampires, we're dealing with gods and their offspring. Which is right up my alley anyway, so I'm willing to give the rest of the series a shot(or at least the next book)

Note: Info on free ebook download link for this story below. A lot of authors release short stories as prequels or companion novels to their series, usually to keep fans jazzed between books or to entice you to try out the others. Some of these small bites are more successful than others, and I'm happy to report that the taste readers get from Daimon is enough to whet the appetite for more.Alex is a 17-year-old half-demon who has been living among humans with her mother for three past years. She

4.5/5I read this book after I read the entire series and that probably wasn't a good thing. It would have helped lead into the series but whatever, I read it after. It was still good but it was a left many things unclear. I don't know if that's just because it was a hook into the first book or if it just seems that way to me. This book is a good way to see what happened to Alex and what she is like instead of hearing the about everything that happened later.

I felt so bad for Alex. Glad I've read this novella before continuing with the series. This shit was fucking intense, it didnt add too much to the series, but I think it adds a little to Alexs character and shows us why she is like that. Some scenes were so heart-breaking, though the rest of the book had a pretty intense and "desirable" atmosphere for me to read, if that makes sense. If you are a fan of the Covenant series, I really recommend you this read!

This series has been on my TBR forever. Seriously. Years it's been on here and I finally decided to read them. I've made a goal this year to read books I've had on my TBR for a ridiculous amount of time. Now, for a novella this was an awesome way to start a series! I really really liked it and it definitely did as intended. Which is......leaving me wanting more! So, I'm going to marathon on all these books! Like...now.
