Starlighter (Dragons of Starlight #1)
DRAGONS
from another world kidnapping and enslaving humans have been circulating in Jason Masters’ world, while for a slave girl named Koren, the stories of a human world seem pure myth. Together, these two teens will need to bridge two planets in order to overthrow the draconic threat and bring the lost slaves home.
What if the Legends Are True?
Jason Masters doubted the myths that told of people taken through a portal to another realm and enslaved by dragons. But when he receives a cryptic message from his missing brother, he must uncover the truth and find the portal before it’s too late. At the same time, Koren, a slave in the dragons’ realm, discovers she has a gift that could either save or help doom her people. As Jason and Koren work to rescue the enslaved humans, a mystic prophecy surrounding a black egg may make all their efforts futile.
I still loves this book by Mr. Davis but I gave it four stars instead of five because I want to be clear that it is such a departure from the love and care I have developed for dragons as a result of Mr. Davis's previous series The Dragons in Our Midst/The Oracles of Fire/The Children of The Bard and I therefore could not attach myself to the characters quite as much. It was a strange feeling and I'm sure it's just me being weird but it was just not quite as great as the author's previous
The Dragons of Starlight Series by Bryan Davis is the first series where I have (so far - I'm two books in) no idea what is going to happen. Literally, I had no guesses for anything. And I love that feeling! I wonder it will be like re-reading it (and I know I will, this series is too good to only read once). This is a great start to this exciting series! I couldn't put this book down! This is a thrilling story with humorous parts, Biblical morals, great role models, unforgettable characters, and
I DNFed this book halfway through. I really really REALLY wanted to enjoy this book. I really did up until they found Elissa and her Diviner status was revealed. I always pause whenever there is a witch character at all, and I'm not very comfortable with the whole "good witch" character (simply because I know that a witches' power always comes from low sources, and not from God). RW Ratings (only applicable to the first half of the book): Language: 4 1/2 stars. There may have been some mild
Amazing story and fantastic charactersBryan Davis does a fantastic job with Starlighter! The flow of the story with the likable characters keep you glued to page after page. The book has great meanings of struggle, triumph, friendship, love, and compassion. A great read and I can't wait to continue the story and enjoy this amazing journey!

Attention fantasy lovers, this is a new series that you will likely enjoy! It has a lot of the best things you can ask for in a fantasy novel, lots of action, great characters and a adventure. There was even a little romance thrown in to spice it up.I have to say, I fell in love with one character, Koren. There was something about her right from the beginning that had me captured, and at first I couldn't place what that was. The more I read, the more it became clear, she was the true star of the

Starlighter by Bryan DavisReview by Kara GrantMinor SpoilersMy ReviewJason Masters is a peasant boy whose life consists of lessons, training, tournaments, and tasks in the commune. He is a trained warrior who wants more out of life. He longs to slay dragons and rescue slaves, both of which are rumors and thought not to exist.
