There was a certain poetic justice now in the fact that out of the prime detective-prosecutor team that stood agains a man accused of seducing and killing women, three of the four members were female.A Rose for Her Grave is my second read by Ann Rule, and I have to say I really love her style. She does not focus on the gruesome parts of a story, but more on the people. I love that she talks about the officers and detectives involved in solving the crimes as well as the attorneys at the trial. II listened to this book in the car, using Audible! The main story was really long but it seemed to end abruptly. I wanted to know more about what happened to the kids that had been cared for by Randy!The short stories were really good and intense. The one story that will stick with me is the triple murder after a convicted killer had been sentenced to be in prison 'for life.' I hope there were some lessons learned in the justice system for that turnout. :-/
A little dated in some parts, but overall good storytelling. True crime isn't really my thing anymore, but I loved Ann Rule in high school and wanted to revisit when I saw a cheap copy of one of her books at a local book store.
Great page turner. Was hooked from the beginning. As always Ann Rule never disappoints. I love the way she goes into each characters past and upbringing to allow you to understand the depth of each person. Ultimately making you want to stop Randy and not allow another person to get hurt. She portrays Randy as the sociopath that he is and the wake of destruction he would leave in every woman he came in contact with. The only thing that was frustrating was how this mans mother wasnt portrayed more

Looking on bookcrossing shelf I see I did write a little bit about this book.....................------------------------------------------------------------------on Friday, January 23, 20048 out of 10I have decided to share more of my books. its a process ,it is hard to say goodbye to your books, but i am trying ;-)This was a great read.--------------------------------------------------------------------(I said it was short)The first story is apparently about Randy Roth. So might re read.
