I read Paul C. Nelson's Saving Worms After the Rain prior to reading this trilogy and found these books to not be as good. Once again, I loved Nelson's personal insight into autism. I enjoyed the main character, Fisher, and his relationships with his peers and his father. I also enjoyed the good versus evil messages portrayed in multiple forms that did not specifically promote any specific religion just the importance of kindness, compassion towards all.
