Narrative Concering Books Blood Lines (D.I. Kim Stone #5)
How do you catch a killer who leaves no trace?A victim killed with a single, precise stab to the heart appears at first glance to be a robbery gone wrong. A caring, upstanding social worker lost to a senseless act of violence. But for Detective Kim Stone, something doesn’t add up.
When a local drug addict is found murdered with an identical wound, Kim knows instinctively that she is dealing with the same killer. But with nothing to link the two victims except the cold, calculated nature of their death, this could be her most difficult case yet.
Desperate to catch the twisted individual, Kim’s focus on the case is threatened when she receives a chilling letter from Dr Alex Thorne, the sociopath who Kim put behind bars. And this time, Alex is determined to hit where it hurts most, bringing Kim face-to-face with the woman responsible for the death of Kim’s little brother – her own mother.
As the body count increases, Kim and her team unravel a web of dark secrets, bringing them closer to the killer. But one of their own could be in mortal danger. Only this time, Kim might not be strong enough to save them…

Brilliant! Thrilling! Suspenseful! Gripping! Intriguing! There are not enough adjectives to describe how I feel about this fifth D. I. Kim Stone book, BLOOD LINES by Angela Marsons. When I think Ms. Marsons has given me everything in a mystery/thriller/British police procedural I could possibly want, she surprises me once again with even more. Kim and her team start investigating the stabbing death of an apparent carjacking victim, but something just doesnt feel right to Kim and soon they have
Thank you to Ms. Angela Marsons, Bookouture, and Net Galley for providing me with an advanced copy of Blood Lines in exchange for an unbiased review. What a gift this novel was to me, and not because it was a Net Galley read. I was in real need of a 5-star story after going through two deaths in the family (my father and my father-in-law) last month. This is the book I picked as I knew Ms. Marsons would give me what I needed. And she did.Blood Lines is book 5 in the DI Kim Stone series, and just
Is Kim Stone becoming more human? It sure seems so in this book, and that makes her an even better character. She's still feisty and brash, don't get me wrong! Everything we love about her is still there, but she's showing she cares more often.I just love Bryant to pieces. When he got all serious and called Kim "Kim" instead of "Guv" my heart melted. There's a lot of growth in Kevin Dawson in this book, and I see a bright future for him. Stacy is, well, Stacy, diviner of all things digital. I
Angela Marsons just keeps getting better and better And the first part of the plan worked. It was awesome. I was awesome. I know it was the smile that get it. It's a smile perfected over the years. I have a good looking face. I know this. People stare and I smile. For that I used my practice performance smile. So one that has got me through life. It has got me everything I wanted. It has got me out of trouble. I am told it's beguiling. Personally I prefer my real one. The smile that feels
3.5 starsIm a little late to the party with this series and thats definitely tainted my enjoyment of this particular book. Blood Lines is the fifth book in the series, but its only the second Ive read; the first being Play Dead (book 4). I jumped right in to PLAY DEAD and was immediately sucked in with the gore and creepiness of the body farm and Kim Stones lack of tact. I never felt like I was missing out by not having read any of the prior books. This time, with BLOOD LINES, not so much. The
This series just keeps getting better and better! Great characters, great plots and a really evil adversary who wants to mess with detective Kim Stone's head.In this fifth episode in the series, Kim and her team are investigating the murder of a middle aged woman, the Deputy Director of Children's Services and a young female drug addict, seemingly unrelated but killed in the same way. While they are grappling with how these murders could possibly be related, Kim's old foe, psychiatrist and
