Better than the first and book three is shaping up to be a doozie! I love Jesse...but Drake has already captured my heart. One of the things I liked most about this book is that it was longer than the first one. After reading about Emmie and Nick in the first book I felt cheated. I wanted it to be longer because the characters and story line was so interesting. This second book focused on Jesse but Emmie, Nick, Drake, and Shane were all still prevalent to the story. I'm drawn in to the unbreakable connection these characters have to each other. The loyalty and fierce love they own just makes me want to be a part of
2nd book in the series. Jessie & Layla's story.Emmie needs a housekeeper for her 4 guys and herself and their new huge house. Layla enters their lives being hired as the new housekeeper and is living in the guest house with her 2 sister's that she has custody over. Layla & Jessie are instantly drawn to one another. He wants her with a passion that he does not understand. Layla is fighting the attraction to Jessie because of her mother's history with men and the ROCKERS of the world. As
This is book 2 of The Rocker series and I liked book 1 enough gave it 3 stars and eager to read the rest of the series. Unfortunately I didn't quite like this Jesse and Layla story.Their insta-love was one of the reasons I didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Emmie and Nik story. Although I don't quite like an insta-love, I often make an exception if it's somehow believable and I can feel the characters chemistry while here, I can't feel the chemistry between Jesse and Layla. From the very
I wish love stories where violence and mayhem were not requirements to the climax of the plot were more popular, and this book is exactly why. The vast majority of us do not fall in love with rock band musicians, but we do fall in love without risking life, limb, military secrets, and paranormal war. (Okay, I love paranormal war, but that's not my point.) I am so glad that Layla and Jesse did not need to defend planet earth against a great evil (or rock music). I'm glad he's bald and has a
**Review contains spoilers** 2/12 stars,This book started great but quickly went down hill till the bitter end. Layla had a bad life she was kicked out at sixteen and for the past two years has raised her two sisters. Hoping for a permanent cleaning job Layla goes to Emmie and the boys house and quickly gets the job. When she see's Jesse the first time she can't deny her attraction but wants nothing to do with rockers. As Layla starts spending more time getting to know the house full of rockers
I found this book to be rather frustrating. It had random typos and was a bit over dramatic. At times I felt like the author liked using exclamation points a bit too much. Between the typos, the excess of exclamation points, and unrealistic melodrama, it came across as if a teenager had written it. The main character, Layla, seemed to to have an inconsistent personality. At the beginning of the book, she seemed like she was going to be one of those characters that who are stubbornly independent
