For starters, this book was very well written, being that this is a new author that i am not that use to reading from. I loved the story line of this book, but it was a bit to dramatic and at some parts it made me angry that the girl would not speak up about what was going on........but that's just me. :)Sometimes nothing is as it seems. That's what I rememberthinking last October--six months that might as well have been alifetime ago. That was before I lost my best friend. after starting out my reading with these words , my thoughts were like .. if this book has the superhero-cute-best friend-death in this book then I'M SO GONNA HATE IT it turns out i was wrong..October Breeze by Maria Rachel Hooley turns out to be a really strong book , much stronger and powerful than i had expected .We come
When I first read the summary in goodread I thought it'd be something normal about high school life and the struggles the main character had to go through. I never knew that it's be about a touchy subject. Mostly I'm okay with reading touchy subjects since most of them were usually in the past but when I read that it happened in the present I was shocked, angry and sad at the same time. When characters had tragic pasts I can always get over it but with this book I don't think I can. Hooley did
