Assess Based On Books Vele hemels boven de zevende

I liked he perspecitve of people with different ages on their - partly shared - lives. well written and clever how people's contemplations make up a story, in the end. The difference between the uses of words 'you' (gij, u, je) between Flemish and Dutch made this read a special one for me (being dutch). To me, 'gij' is extremely formal and archaic, nd 'u' is formal, but in the Flemish language, it seems, it is aan informal form of you. even though I knew this beforehand, it kept on sticking out,

When starting to read the book my high expectations couldn't be accomplished ... high expectations were set by the positive feedback on the book by friends ... once beyond half way I had to change my opinion...well written book, story lines one can relate to very easily,... Have enjoyed the book very much and will recommended it to others. Look forward to her next book.

Wanted to read a book from Griet the moment I saw the interview with her on Dutch television (zomergasten) and now I finally read one ... at first, I didn't really know what to think of it but after reading this book: she definitely knows how to write ... really nice sentences. cool themes between the lines ... kinda linked it. Will try another to see if I still feel this when reading multiple books from her. Keep you posted ...
