Long Shadows (Warriors: Power of Three #5)
Jaypaw is convinced that StarClan still holds an important place in the warrior code, and his search for answers leads him far back into the past, farther back than even StarClan can remember. Lionblaze, tortured by violent dreams and bloody visions, wishes he had never been prophesied to be one of the three but to turn his back on his littermates would be the ultimate betrayal. And Hollyleaf is terrified that once the Clans lose their faith, the warrior code will fall apart. She's willing to fight tooth and nail to preserve it--whatever the cost.
And when murder stalks into the heart of ThunderClan, the cats realize that the darkest shadows don't always lie outside the territory.
A little different from the previous Warriors books, it's great to see the authors break some new ground. Some interesting situations and themes. Overall I liked it, although there was one scene that I thought "jumped the shark" and solved a problem in a way that was a little too pat. The book ends in a way that's guaranteed to keep Warriors fans talking until the next one comes out!
This book is probably the most sad. Firestar loses another life. But, Shadowclan comes back to the forest and believes in Starclan once again. *Sigh* Another sad part comes at the end. Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Jayfeather(Jaypaw turns into Jayfeather) almost get killed by Ashfur(As revenge) but in the end he doesn't kill them as Squirrelflight reveals her deepest secret, that she and Brambleclaw are NOT their real parents. But, Brambleclaw does not know this. So in the end Ashfur was GOING to

Actual rating: 2.5 starsThis review is for both Long Shadows and Sunrise , the fifth and sixth books in the Power of Three series. I quite enjoyed the first four books of the Power of Three, but these last two books were such a disappointment. They could've been three stars. It was only two things that ruined everything. Firstly was the character Sol, the mysterious loner. He serves no real purpose to the story. He only serves as a source of mystery and does nothing but stir up drama and
O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!M!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'm just...shocked. This book has left me literally SPEECHLESS. GAAH!!! It's DEFINITELY the BEST one out of ALL the warriors series so far. AAGGH!!!!!! ITS SOO EXCITING AND SUSPENSEFUL AND FULL OF MYSTERY AND THRILL AND MURDER AND SHOCK!!!!
This book was actualy quite interesting, considering my low expectations. I am not a big fan of the "Power of Three", but this book was better writen and had many interesting plot twists. I would have said it was a good book, but the ending was bad and ruined the overall effect.
OMG! I knew that squirelflight wasnt the mother of the three! And what the heck? I didnt even know Ashfur was going threw that pain and now i feel sorry for him. He shouldn't have died, but i think if he would have told the cats about squirelflight not being their mother then all hell would break loose! The warriors series is getting a kind of...idk...darkness to it. Like the cats are becoming more...i dont know how to describe it but they are changing...and i kind of like it. It shows a whole
